22. Attendance at Merit Selection Interviews
a) Where a temporary teacher applies for an advertised Departmental position and the interview:
- is held during school hours; and
- occurs on a day when the temporary teacher is engaged to work,
the time necessarily spent by the temporary teacher in attending the interview will be deemed as being on duty.
b) Temporary teachers may also be entitled to reimbursement for travel in connection with merit selection interviews in the same way as permanent teachers.
