Keynote address by Maree O'Halloran

Maree spoke on the Howard Government's proposed Industrial Relations laws and how they will affect teachers and their families.

The conference heard from a variety of speakers who dealt with such issues as

  • The changing industrial environment,
  • Duty of care,
  • Dealing with difficult people,
  • Workers compensation,
  • Procedural fairness,
  • Workplace bullying,
  • Freedom of Information and a review of privacy cases
  • Family Law as it relates to students
  • Occupational health and Safety
  • Impact of the Civil Liability Act Commonwealth Disability Education Standards
