Submissions sought for journal review

By John Irving

Federation welcomes individual submissions about Federation's journal as Education undergoes a major review.

While a scientifically valid survey of members is being conducted by an independent research organisation, which includes a survey and focus groups, your individual submission would be highly valued.

Federation's strength is its membership and as a union with a long history of highly effective campaign activities, the journal plays an integral part. Any input with regard to the type of information contained in the journal and any suggestions you may have as to topics and issues to be covered would only enhance the whole process.

Federation is a campaigning union and therefore the method of communication around its campaigns is extremely important. The union is keen to ascertain how effective it is as a method of communication.

One of the aims of the review process is to also elicit information from members about the "attractiveness" of the journal and, of course, its "readability". Members are also asked to inform us about the amount of information contained in the journal and what other topics and issues they believe also need to be covered.

Have your say

Submissions should be addressed to the General Secretary.

All submissions will be treated confidentially.

The deadline is September 12.

John Irving is the General Secretary.
