Teacher-librarian campaign course

By Lenore Hankinson

The Teacher-Librarian campaign course will be held on October 18-19.

It is envisaged that participants will produce campaign materials to advance the campaign for teacher-librarian betterments. The items under consideration will be those that remain outstanding from previous log of claims negotiations. The Department of Education and Training has maintained that those aspects which are not funding-neutral will not be pursued.

The 2-day course will also hear from Federation Officers including President Maree O'Halloran on how the Federation progresses such matters and how competing priorities are dealt with in a campaign context.

An application form is available from the training section of the website http://www.nswtf.org.au/tuta/application.html or can be faxed to your school by contacting Margaret Horne on (02) 9217 2198 or Lenore Hankinson on (02) 9217 2100. Please note your application form will require endorsement from a Federation office holder such as Fed Rep, Woman's Contact or Organiser.
