Conference for beginning teachers

Bundanoon, Southern Highlands NSW

March 27-28

A two-day conference on Saturday and Sunday open to all new (beginning) teachers employed as permanent teachers by the Department of Education and Training in the schools sector.

Teachers from Sydney metropolitan, Blue Mountains, Southern Highlands, Illawarra, South Coast and Central Coast are eligible to apply. Service conditions, teachers' rights and issues for probationary teachers will be dealt with, as well as the support and services that Federation provides. There will also be practical professional workshops focussing on classroom management and pedagogy.

Participants are provided with

  • accommodation at the Bundanoon Hotel
  • all meals
  • conference notes.
