Aboriginal Conference to focus on quality teaching

Federation's Aboriginal Members Conference will be held May 15.

The conference will be held at Teachers Federation House, 23-33 Mary Street, Surry Hills.

The theme of the conference is that "quality teachers produce quality outcomes for our kids".

Registration will commence at 8.30am in the library on level 1 with the conference beginning promptly at 9am.

Workshops will be based around good practices and quality programs.

All financial Aboriginal members of the Teachers Federation are welcome.

Aboriginal members who live in the country need to have their travel and accommodation forms in by April 30 (week 1, term 2).

Aboriginal members who live in the Sydney metropolitan area will be able to ring to register for the conference. Contact Aboriginal Education Coordinator Charline Emzin-Boyd, on (02) 9217 2188, (02) 9217 2189 or 1300 654 369. Registration closes on May 7.
