Works sought for art exhibit

Federation members are invited to enter works in Federation's 2nd annual members' art exhibition.

The first exhibition, held last year, was a magnificent success, with 19 creative teachers showing their diverse talents in excellent artworks.

Artist teachers are always there for their students, and those teachers who manage to continue to make art are being encouraged to show their work with other Federation members.

Any artworks appropriate for a café are welcomed, including prints, photographs, paintings, drawings and sculptures. Call Federation and ask for Michelle Rosicky or Caroline Martin for an entry form.

Artworks need to be delivered to Federation House Level 1 reception between May 24 and 28. The work will be set up the following week.

The exhibition opening will be held 5-7pm on June 5, to coincide with Federation Council.

The Visual Arts Special Interest Group will again curate the exhibition at Fringe café, situated in Teachers Federation House at 23-33 Mary Street Surry Hills.

For those with a little bit of time and an interest in developing curating and networking skills, your assistance in setting up the exhibition and other tasks would be most appreciated.

The exhibition will be open until July 1 and taken down for collection July 2 and 3.

Contact Michelle Rosicky, the Officer attached to the Visual Art Special Interest Group, for details. Phone (02) 9217 2100, fax (02) 9217 2470 or email mrosicky@nswtf.org.au.
