Great opportunities for beginning teachers

By Nicole Calnan and Theo Bougatsas

If you are a new or beginning teacher in your first two years of teaching, keep the weekend of February 26 and 27 or April 2 and 3 free.

On these weekends, the first of Federation's Beginning Teachers Conferences for the year will be held at Bundanoon.

These conferences provide excellent opportunities for new and beginning teachers to meet and discuss issues that affect them in an informal manner. The conferences also provide the information and the tools to take these matters up within their schools, discuss them with their colleagues and, if necessary, consult their local Federation Organiser.

The conference provides many opportunities for the participants to interact in a more social and informal setting with many fun activities planned for the evenings.

All past conferences have been a great success.

If you are interested in attending one of the conferences you should contact Margaret Horne, Nicole Calnan or Theo Bougatsas at Federation on (02) 9217 2100.

Nicole Calnan and Theo Bougatsas are Project Officers.
