Women’s Conference 2005

Union Women Working Together

Venue: Guthrie Theatre, University of Technology, Harris Street, Sydney Keynote Speaker: Federation is finalising the choice of speakers to provide a focus on the Howard Government's blatant and radical attack on the rights of all workers and how this will affect women and teachers.

Workshops: Workshops will be based around relevant issues for women union members such as women and activism, community organising, changes to industrial relations legislation, new activists, meeting organisation and procedure and the role of Women's Contacts.

Registration: Registration will commence at 8.15am in the theatre foyer and the Conference will start at 9am sharp.

Who can come? All financial women members of the NSW Teachers Federation are welcome to attend.

Country delegates: As in previous years Federation will fund one female delegate from each country association and five country delegates from TAFE. Association Secretaries have registration, travel and accommodation forms. Country associations may choose to fund additional delegates. Please note that country participants must return their registration, travel and accommodation forms by no later than April 29 to enable Federation to access the best travel and accommodation arrangements.

City delegates: City delegates should contact their Association Secretary for details on how to register or ring Federation Women's Coordinator Siobhan Callan on (02) 9217 2100 or 1300 654 369 and register over the phone. Registrations close on May 13 for city delegates only.
