Ban on annual school report format remains

Federation's ban on the Department of Education and Training's (DET's) new Annual School Report format (known as the "2005 format" and templates) remains in place.

The Department issued a memorandum to schools last year stating that either the 2004 format or the 2005 format could be used for the 2005 report.

Federation advised schools in a fax dated February 15 to exercise their option to use the 2004 format for the 2005 report.

The fax noted that DET officers were placing pressure on principals to use the new format and called on those schools that had not already done so to hold a Federation meeting to reject the 2005 format.

Members are advised to contact their Organiser should they experience any difficulties.
