Yen talks

Former Education columnist ROBERT YEN will address the Chinese Heritage Association of Australia on May 28.

Long-time readers of "Mr Yen's World" would remember Robert Yen's moving eulogy on the passing of his grandfather, Yen Siu-Cheong, and his farewell column, in which he referred to an invitation to speak about his family in Australia. "The Journey of the Yen Family" is the topic of the next event for the Chinese Heritage Association of Australia (CHAA) on May 28 at the Avillion Hotel, Sydney. Robert will be presenting his family's story, covering the generations who have made Australia home. Details on Robert's talk may be found at CHAA's website (www.chineseheritage.org.au). The cost is $10 for members and $12.50 for non-members. Federation members who would like the opportunity to both meet and hear Robert Yen are most welcome.
