Special Interest Groups
The Federation sponsors a range of Special Interest Groups that are active across a wide range of issues.
Web forums
The Federation as a variety of Web forums for members . These are located in the Members Area . If you have not already registered for a username and password please register here
Take Action Online
For those wanting to take direct action on Federation campaigns, you can email political leaders and/or your local politician by using the Federation's campaign engine. You have the option of sending them preformatted text (you can also be amend the campaign message yourself if you want) on current issues of concern to Teachers.
For those wanting to contact politicians on general issues we have links to politicians' email addresses so you can email a politician and tell them exactly what you think of their performance on teacher issues.
Keep Informed via NSWTF e-News
The best way to keep informed on the latest happenings on the NSW Teachers Federation site is to subscribe to our e-News list. This service will keep you informed you by email whenever (more weekly than daily) there is major news breaking on teacher issues.
Women's program
The NSW Teachers Federation Women's Program includes the Anna Stewart Program, Women's Conference and Trade Union Training Courses designed for woman members.
New Teachers
New Teachers in NSW Public Schools are encouraged to become involved with their union. Information and networking opportunities for new teachers are in this section.
Trade Union TrainingFederation conducts a range of training courses each year.
Council Observers
To encourage participation in the Federation, programs have been established to allow country teachers to participate in Federation Council as observers.
