Staffing and promotions

The NSW Teachers Federation calls on the NSW Government and Department of Education and Training (DET) to establish a new system of promotion for all teachers in NSW based on NSW Teachers Federation policy.

The current system is flawed and requires an overhaul to ensure a fair and equitable system of teacher promotion in NSW.

That Federation ascertain and publicise the costs of the current promotion system.

That Federation will reissue the policy statement on promotions to inform this process.
