Ads accuse Federal Government of negligence

Federation is running radio advertising that brands the under-funding of public schools as negligence.

The ads tell listeners:

"No wonder the Howard Government can boast yet another record surplus when our public schools are under-funded by a massive $2.9 billion a year.

"The Federal Government really has its priorities wrong.

"Your local public schools educate two thirds of Australian children, including our brightest and best achievers -- yet they are deliberately starved of funds.

"This is not good governance. This is negligence."

The ads commenced on September 15 to run for five days in Sydney on 2DAY, 2MMM, NOVA, 2WS, 2UE.

The ads are also running for three days (started on September 16) on 37 regional radio stations in NSW covering all major markets and marginal electorates.
