by Kerri Carr

About 50 bicycle riders have ridden from Parramatta to Canberra to express their disgust at the Howard Government's changes to industrial relations law.

Ride organiser Narelle Sinclair said: "It was a great ride."

She said they received a nice send off at Parramatta Park by Parramatta Lord Mayor David Borger.

"We had a tough first day as it was very hot," Ms Sinclair said.

After a 115 kilometre ride they arrived in Moss Vale to stay the night.

"The next day was an easy day -- just 70 kilometres and much cooler."

They were met by Goulburn deputy mayor Ken Sullivan.

On day three they rode from Goulburn to Queanbeyan.

"The wind gods were with us," she said.

The next morning they were met by members of Peddles ACT for the ride into Canberra. They were led in by Unions NSW's Your Rights at Work bus, which was a support vehicle for the ride.

Noise from whistles, bells and horns marked their arrival at the front of Parliament House.

They were met by Unions NSW Secretary John Robertson and South Australian Senator Penny Wong.

Mr Robertson said the riders had "gone the whole way" and urged all Senators to "go the whole way" and look closely at the legislation.
