Ads break away from the classroom Four 30-second television commercials have been produced for use in term 3. This series is very different from previous Federation commercials, choosing to break away from the expected school settings in favour of a more parent-relevant and friendly environment. The setting is an ordinary local cafe, typical of what can be found in so many suburbs and towns in both metropolitan and regional areas. In the commercials, the cafe is used by dad to have breakfast/coffee with his daughter. Mum, who is the owner, is a typical local small business person who depends on the community and is a strong part of it. The advertisements address staffing and the value of teachers. Air time is booked for August 17 to 25 and a smaller, follow-up burst runs from September 5 to 10.
