Rural handbook withdrawn
The Teachers Federation has recalled the Rural Teachers Handbook.
Published in November 2001, the handbook detailed working conditions, outlined incentives and encouraged teachers to consider a teaching post in rural and remote NSW. However, the handbook is no longer accurate because the NSW Government has begun its unilateral changes to staffing. Members of the NSW Parliament who represent country electorates have been provided with a copy of and the reason for the recall.
