Glorious blue skies greeted workers, families and community members for the Your Rights at Work picnic day at Penrith Lakes on June 12.
There was a bouncing castle, three legged races, fishing competitions, sausage sizzles, performances by Irish dancers, choirs, local school bands and jazz musicians.
A couple members of the Lindsay Community Campaign Group spoke.
Asbestos victim Bernie Banton wandered among the locals enjoying themselves.
There were union stalls, with unions talking with their members and others about the Your Rights at Work campaign.
A much larger function is now in the works.
