New advice for TAFE teachers

By Phil Bradley

Federation has just finalised advice on TAFE clauses in the 2006 award that are controversial or were subject to amendment from the 2004 award.

If members need this advice it can be obtained on request to Federation's Post School Education unit.

The union has also prepared TAFE advice on leave conditions, enhancements and advancements and two Know Your Award Rights and Your Working Conditions leaflets, one for temporary TAFE teachers and one for TAFE part time casual teachers, coordinators and counsellors.

An updated version of the Frequently Asked Questions (and Answers) leaflet about related duties for part time casual teachers has also been prepared. These documents will soon be emailed to all TAFE Fed Reps.

Phil Bradley is the Assistant General Secretary (Post School Education).
