Noisy welcome for Treasurer

Federal Treasurer Peter Costello drew a protest when he visited Blacktown Workers Club on May 18. Mr Costello had been invited by Greenway MP Louise Marcus to address constituents, but before he got inside he had to walk past protesters, angry at the policies of the Howard Government. The rally was organised by the Australian Services Union, but other unions, including Federation, had representation at the protest.
