New billboards and radio and television advertising are following up the new corflute banners to promote a consistent message about how public education could be even greater with greater government investment.

Radio ads focussing on the needs of students in the early secondary years went to air September 17 and will continue through September 26.

The ads run in metropolitan Sydney on radio stations 2DAY-FM, 2MMM-FM, 2UE, 2WS-FM and Nova-FM.

The ads also run on regional radio in Albury, Bathurst, Bega, Coffs Harbour, Dubbo, Gosford, Grafton, Griffith, Lismore, Newcastle, Nowra, Orange, Port Macquarie, Tamworth, Taree, Tweed, Wagga Wagga and Wollongong.

The television campaign was renewed on September 17 and runs until September 30.

The television ads screen on channels 7 and 10 in Sydney, as well as regional Channel 10, the Prime network and in Broken Hill.

Further paid advertising and banners are planned to gather support for Federation's priority issues in the leads up to the state and federal elections in 2007.

Federation has thanked schools and colleges for removing old signage to allow the new themes to reach the public.
