Totems point to values
Waratah West Public School's values are there for all to see. In the school grounds are six pencil totem poles outlining qualities listed in the school's discipline code.
These qualities are care, consideration, commitment, cooperation, creativity and confidence.
The school aims to foster an environment in which there can be quality teaching and learning.
Students learn most effectively in a secure, positive educational environment in which both staff and students take pride in achievement.
An effective school environment is one in which all members of the school community show respect towards one another and work together for the common good.
