Jobs Advertised at Jobs@det -14th May

14 May 2008
By

John Dixon, Assistant General Secretary -Communications & Administration

The Teachers Federation is campaigning for an industrial agreement on staffing that maintains teachers' right to transfer and students' rights to quality public education.

The Federation believes a transfer system that recognises and rewards teachers' service to NSW public education is the surest means of maintaining equity, stability and security in teacher supply to schools across the state.

We reject the changed staffing procedures imposed on schools from 28 April 2008 and will continue to campaign for agreed procedures in a statewide system that ensures all students, wherever they live, are taught by qualified teachers.

To support campaign action to maintain the teacher transfer system, the Federation publishes advertisements for vacant positions that appear on the DET's website.

Federation members who have applied for transfer to a school that has advertised a suitable position should contact their current school's Federation Organiser as soon as possible. The Federation will support members who are denied a transfer through appropriate industrial and political action.

These positions were advertised on Wednesday 14th May on the DET website. The link on the position in the first column will take you direct to the DET website to the actual position description and selection criteria and convenor at the school.
