Schools and TAFE strike ads placed 21 May 2008By Diane Hague Media and Communications Officer Today the Federation has placed the schools strip ad again in The Sydney Morning Herald and the TAFE ad in The Daily Telegraph. The TAFE ad is headed "TAFE teachers take action to protect TAFE quality" and the text reads: "TAFE students should be taught by fully qualified teachers - knowledgeable and highly trained. Yet, the state government says TAFE doesn't need professional teachers anymore. That's why TAFE teachers are taking industrial action this week. Students need the quality education TAFE provides to help them succeed in work and life. Lowering standards is not acceptable." The TAFE ad is attached. The schools ad is available at the website story titled "Strike advertisements placed."
