Save Working Conditions 28 May 2009
TAFE Members Urged to Act to Save Working Conditions The Federation was successful in achieving a salary settlement which limits the extent of working conditions changes. These now should be no more than needed to fund the above 2.5% salary increases in the 2009-11 Award. After lengthy negotiations the Federation proposed a fair and reasonable cost savings and initiatives package. However, the Department and the Minister have refused to accept this proposal and are now seeking harsh teaching workload increases in the Industrial Relations Commission.
