Salaries advertising campaign
The Teachers Federation has launched a radio and print advertising campaign urging the O'Farrell government to get its priorities right. It takes place over the next three weeks.
Within the next five years 20 000 public education teachers will be needed to replace those retiring. The print ad and one of the radio ads asks where they will come from if teacher pay is sliding backwards in real terms.

The second radio ad highlights the government's priorities in giving the clubs industry a $300 million tax break, and the Sydney Cricket Ground an $86 million facelift, while neglecting teachers' salaries.

The print ad was placed in the Sun Herald of 5 February, and will reappear in each of the next two weeks.
