Teachers Federation media conference on O'Farrell funding cuts (video)

This morning in Sydney, Deputy President, Gary Zadkovich spoke at a media conference called to discuss the Teachers Federation response to the education funding cuts announced by the NSW government yesterday.

Mr Zadkovich placed the slashing of 1 800 jobs in the context of the federal government's announcement last week on the Gonski review. While that is happening, the state government is "ripping money out at the other end."

He says that the Federation will work with other unions, parents, students, communities and other workers to defend quality public services in NSW: public education, public health, public transport.
