JamaicaTeachers to seek ILO intervention The island's 22,000 teachers say they will seek the intervention of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and Education International if the Government fails to meet tomorrow's deadline to pay over retro-active funds. The payments owed to the teachers are part of a wage agreement which the Government signed last October to bring teachers' salaries within 80 per cent of the market rate of remuneration.
