Information relating to TAFE Managers Enterprise Agreement
Federation advises TAFE Managers on TAFE’s proposed TAFE Managers Enterprise Agreement as follows:
Discounting of 2021 salary to 2.04%pa brings forward an increase in superannuation from 9.5% to 10% as at 1 January 2021.
The Federal Government’s current proposal in relation to the Superannuation Guarantee Charge is for this increase to occur from 1 July 2021.
TAFE’s proposed EA reduces salary in 2021 and reduces superannuation payable on salary in subsequent years. The increases proposed by TAFE will also occur regardless of any change to government policy in this area.
Federation has successfully negotiated increases of 2.27% to 2.28% for 2021 in other industrial instruments.
For this reason the NSW Teachers Federation recommends TAFE Managers vote No in the proposed ballot.
