The Federation carefully researched public opinion about teachers and public education before producing the ads. The ads have been directed by acclaimed Australian director, Ray Lawrence (Lantana, Jindabyne, Bliss) and written by Jane Caro, writer, public education advocate and 'Gruen Transfer' panelist. Ray spoke of the rewards and challenges of this project. Jane Caro spoke about writing the scripts with several audiences in mind (both teachers and the general community but always at an emotional level).
This eleven minute clip of the launch excerpts some of the conversation about the production of the ads and the campaign itself.
