Enjoy a great night and support public education

Everyone with a passion for public education is invited to attend the Public Education Foundation's Celebration of Excellence in Public Schools on May 18.

The free event will be held at Sydney Town Hall, 483 George Street from 6.45pm.

ABC 702 radio presenter Wendy Harmer will host the evening celebrating the achievements of students, teachers and public school communities.

The annual event has a reputation for entertaining musical performances.

The Public Education Foundation is a not for profit organisation dedicated to providing life changing scholarships to young people in public education, as well as their teachers and principals. Scholarships will be awarded to students.

Keynote speaker will be Nobel Laureate for Physics and Vice Chancellor of the Australian National University Professor Brian Schmidt. He has previously spoken at the National Press Club about why he is passionate about public education.
