Federation is joining other unions for a vigil on Thursday October 13 to ask all parties for a commitment that domestic violence leave be included in the National Employment Standards.
Unions will be laying a flower on the fence of parliament for each of the 26 women killed by their partners this year alone.
When: Thursday 13 October, 12-1pm
Where: The Domain (Behind NSW Parliament House under the Tree of Knowledge)
Dress: Attendees are asked to wear purple
Federation members will be taking part under the Federation banner to lend strength to the message that the crisis of domestic violence in homes across the workforce needs bipartisan commitment to support victims through special leave provisions and other measures.
