Please note written nominations can not be lodged before 21 November 2016. Any nominations received before this date will be void.

Written nominations which comply with the Organisation’s rules open on 21 November 2016 and must reach the Returning Officer not later than 12:00 noon (AEDT) on Wednesday, 7 December 2016. Nominations cannot be withdrawn after the close of nominations.

Nomination forms are available from me or the office of the Organisation. Nomination forms are also available on the organisation’s website and on the AEC website (www.aec.gov.au). The use of these forms is not compulsory provided that nominations comply with the rules of the Organisation.

Electoral material lodged in accordance with Rule 31(5)(d) must be received by the Returning Officer by 12:00 noon (AEDT) on Wednesday, 14 December 2016 otherwise it will not be published. Candidate statements are restricted to a maximum of 400 words and sent as a word doc. Passport sized photographs should be sent as a jpeg doc.

By Email: A properly completed nomination form including all necessary signatures and attachments may be scanned and submitted as a pdf file to nswelections@aec.gov.au. Senders of emails to the AEC email mailbox should be aware that incoming emails that appear to be spam emails may be blocked. It is the responsibility of the sender to ensure that their email reaches the AEC email mailbox before the deadline.

The ballot, if required, will open on Wednesday, 11 January 2017 and close at 10:00am (AEDT) on Monday, 6 February 2017.

Note: A copy of the AEC’s election report and the results can be obtained from the Organisation or from the Returning Officer after the completion of the election.
