In December 2017 Professor Stephen Dinham OAM PhD, of the University of Melbourne, donated his professional library to the New South Wales Teachers Federation.
Professor Dinham is currently Associate Dean (Strategic Partnerships and Engagement) and Professor of Instructional Leadership in the Melbourne Graduate School of Education, University of Melbourne. (From February 2018 he will be Professor Emeritus, Melbourne Graduate School of Education, University of Melbourne.) He attended and taught in NSW public schools before moving into the tertiary sector.
Professor Dinham's professional library consists of approximately 400 books and reports about educational leadership and change, effective pedagogy/quality teaching, student achievement, postgraduate supervision, professional teaching standards, teachers' professional development, middle-level leaders in schools, research methods, education law, and teacher satisfaction, motivation and health.
The resources donated by Professor Dinham are being progressively incorporated into the main Federation Library collection and will be available for loan to Federation members. The resources are identifiable via a separate button on the library's online catalogue that links directly to items in the Professor Stephen Dinham Collection.
