This three-day course split over two sessions is aimed at members who hold the role of Women’s Contact at their local association. Other women association office holders are also eligible to apply
Participants will explore the role of associations and how they can exercise leadership within networks. This will also enable members of the network to reflect on ways to engage effectively in leadership roles with the wider community. Women participants will develop the knowledge and skills to feel confident to undertake leadership positions.
At the end of this course, participants will be able to interpret ethical roles and responsibilities of leadership both within the school and wider communities, including the union and reflect on current skills with a view to identifying areas for development.
The course will also enable participants to apply communication frameworks in various contexts and create opportunities to develop and contribute to professional networks to build productive links and support networks on the topic of leadership.
