Support and legal assistance

 As a financial member, you will have access to information and advice on working conditions and entitlements. This includes assistance to protect employment rights in legal matters. 

You can also access confidential advice about your rights and entitlements from experienced Officers and staff in the Professional Support team.

Trade Union Training

A variety of courses and conferences can help you develop your skills and union knowledge. 

Anna Stewart Program

Federation’s Anna Stewart Program is an on-the-job training program for women unionists to increase their involvement in the union. 

Eric Pearson Study Grant

You may apply for the Eric Pearson Study Grant, awarded annually to a member to undertake research in Australia or overseas on an issue of practical significance to Federation members. 

Future Teacher Scholarships

Each year, Federation awards a range of Future Teacher Scholarships, valued at $4000 each, to student members of the union.
