Women’s Conference

All financial women members are eligible to attend the annual event, which features speakers, panels and workshops, but places are strictly limited and members must be elected as delegates to Women’s Conference by their Association.

Anna Stewart Program

The Anna Stewart Program is aimed at developing the skills, knowledge and confidence of women members and empowering them to be actively involved members in their workplace, local association or state level. Participants are given the opportunity to work with Federation Officers, attend state Council and associated meetings, and observe behind the scenes processes and practices in our operations and dealings with the Department of Education and TAFE NSW.

Two-week program

Successful applicants participate in the pre-and post-state Council activities at Federation’s head office. Participants will also be invited to accompany Officers to meetings and campaign events during this period.

Association Women’s Contacts course

A three-day course is available annually for Association Women’s Contacts. This course assists Women’s Contacts to develop their role and work with their Association to increase the engagement and participation of women in Federation activities.

Women in Leadership course

A three-day course for women in Federation positions in their workplace or Association, including state Councillors, who seek to further develop their leadership skills.

‘Women Only’ Foundations courses

The are several ‘women’s only’ Foundations courses to equip women Federation Representatives and Women’s Contacts (and workplace committee members where spaces are available) with skills and knowledge relevant to their role.

Special leave and casual release are available to allow participation in most courses. Information about locations and dates of current courses is available from Trade Union Training.
