This three-day course covers the foundational knowledge and skills for teachers elected by their colleagues to the honorary positions of TAFE-based Federation Representative or Women’s Contact. Members of the College’s workplace committee are also eligible if space is available. 

Course content includes: 

  • Federation and TAFE Teachers Association structures 
  • Unpacking the Enterprise Agreement and relevant workplace rights and entitlements 
  • Positive professional dialogue to build workplace member unity 
  • Campaigning and organising in the TAFE setting 

Day 3 of this course provides an opportunity for participants to attend either TAFE Teachers Association Council or Executive meeting to learn more about the Association.
