This three-day course* is held over two sessions. It is open to women members who hold elected workplace or Association positions seeking to develop their union leadership skills. This course is designed to support people interested in, or who have participated in, the Anna Stewart Program or the Country Women’s Observer program and those who are wanting to become more involved in Federation activities and forums.
At the end of this course participants will be able to:
- Identify leadership roles within the Federation, and the skills required for these roles
- Understand aspects of feminist theory and how they apply to union leadership
- Interpret ethical roles and responsibilities of leadership within the workplace, wider communities, and the union
- Reflect on their current skills and identify areas for development
- Create opportunities to develop and contribute to professional networks and support for women’s empowerment.
