Responding to Complex Student Behaviour: Training on the new DoE Student Behaviour Policy

The Department’s new Student Behaviour Policy (including the Suspension and Expulsion Procedures) was released last year for implementation from Term 1, 2024.

The new documents now provide significant opportunities for members to reassert Federation’s long-standing position that public schools are places of high expectations of student behaviour, which allows teachers to teach and students to learn.

To support members’ understanding of these new policies and assert their right to a safe workplace, your local Teachers Association is hosting a seminar titled Responding to Complex Student Behaviour: Training on the new DoE Student Behaviour Policy.

Details are as follows:

Wednesday 8 May
Hastings Secondary College – Port Macquarie Campus*

*PLEASE NOTE: You must enter via the Oxley Oval Carpark, off Pacific Drive. The gates on Owen Street will be locked, and no access will be granted.
