Rethinking Ability: Organising for Intervention

Trade Union Training Association Campaigns Seminar (2hrs) supports Federation members in building conversation and understanding about disability matters in their schools.
The course looks at historical events and wins in disability within Federation and government, to support participants in building a picture and reframing their thinking.
Participants then reflect on real life situations in their teaching, and/or discuss with others, strategies and next steps in gaining the necessary supports to meet the needs of students in their class or school.
Jointly with the Disability Officer and Organiser, participants are guided through organising steps to build action, collectiveness in their workplace and seek action for unmet need in their school.
