Members of our union are constantly working together to achieve improvements to teachers’ salaries, their working conditions and students’ learning conditions, social justice and equity.

Financial members have a right to speak and vote at workplace and association meetings. Our democratic structure also entitles members to elect the presidential officers and their association representatives to state Council.
Special Interest Groups are another forum where members come together to provide advice to Federation concerning policies in their interest areas.
Our affirmative action program offers a range of opportunities to support women to develop their skills, knowledge and confidence, to empower them take a more active role in union activities.

For one semester, this dynamic role will show you across the breadth of Federation operations while you recruit new members to build density, a key to union strength and the power of teachers’ voices.
