Labor releases details of $14bn school-funding commitments

The Federal Labor Opposition has released the school-by-school details of its commitment to $14.1 billion of increased funding for public schools.

NSW Teachers Federation President Maurie Mulheron welcomed the release saying it provided much-needed detail on how funding would be distributed across the country.

“For public school communities, there is now a clear contrast between the two major parties: it’s either the Coalition’s $4.6 billion of additional funding to private schools or the ALP commitment of $14 billion to public schools,” Mr Mulheron said.

Labor has released detailed funding plans showing exactly how much extra funding each public school stands to gain under a Shorten Labor government, reversing the billions of dollars in funding cuts by the Coalition Federal Government.
