Due to popular demand from Federation members for training and support to implement the new Stage 6 English syllabus, the Centre for Professional Learning is taking bookings for a second Let’s Enrich and Enjoy HSC English Conference.
The additional conference will be held on Wednesday, 15 May, in the NSW Teachers Federation Conference Centre, 37 Reservoir Street, Surry Hills.
Sessions will focus on key areas of the new syllabus, with close attention to year 12.
Practical strategies and resources for teaching, learning and examination preparation regarding the craft of writing will be addressed.
Module B Standard and Advanced texts will be explored. How to incorporate and extend skills from years 7-12 will also be discussed.
Completing the English Stage 6 conference will contribute five hours of NESA Registered professional development addressing: 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
