Federation joins call for rigorous review of Leading Learning 4 All resource

Prominent disability advocates, academics and organisations have penned an open letter to federal Education Minister Simon Birmingham regarding significant concerns about the Leading Learning 4 All (LL4All) resource, funded by the Commonwealth government and launched early this year.

Federation notes the issues raised and shares concerns particularly as they relate to representation of students with disability, application of the Disability Standards for Education and the alleged lack of consultation with representative bodies of people with disability.

The union joins the signatories in their sound request for a rigorous, independent review prior to roll out.

Federation hopes that such a review will result in a respectful quality resource that supports equitable education of students with disability and school practice that meets and implements anti-discrimination legislation.
