Standing-room only at HSC English conference

The Centre for Professional Learning provides quality professional learning for Federation members. Today, secondary English teachers were provided with:

  • a detailed analysis of examination specifications and assessment requirements for HSC English, Standard and Advanced
  • practical approaches and resources to teaching HSC English, Standard and Advanced to optimise student achievement
  • Detailed exploration of Modules A and C for Standard and Advanced, including ideas and resources for planning, programing, teaching and learning
  • A guide to deconstructing and mapping the Module A and C rubrics against the examination specifications.

Today’s HSC English conference was standing-room only and Mark Scott saw firsthand how our membership engages in professional learning opportunities. This course is registered to provide five hours of NESA Registered Professional Development. It will run again on 7 May.

More than 100 professional development courses and conferences will be conducted by Federation’s CPL in 2018. Go to our website www.cpl.asn.au for full details and registration.
