Federation was proud to deliver $1400 worth of Opal and gift cards to the Asylum Seekers Centre in Newtown on behalf of members across NSW who collected them following a request from the union. The cards will be used by people who are assisted by the centre to access public transport and other essential daily items.
The cards will be welcomed by asylum seekers immediately impacted by changes to Status Resolution Support Services. For further information about the amazing work of the Asylum Seekers Centre, members can go to asylumseekerscentre.org.au.
