Nominations are called for the following offices:

Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Federal Conference Delegate (1)
(candidates’ and nominators for this office must be Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander members)

General Division

Federal Conference Delegates representing the General Division (23)
(at least 12 positions to be filled by female members, if the number of female candidates is less than the number of female delegates to be elected the remaining position or positions in question will be filled by a male candidate or candidates).

National TAFE Council Delegates (6)
(at least 4 of these 7 offices to be filled by a female if the number of female candidates is less than the number of female delegates to be elected the remaining position or positions in question will be filled by a male candidate or candidates).

Nominations, which must be in writing and comply with the registered rules of the organisation, may be made at any time from Monday 12 August 2019. They must reach my office or postal address or AEC emailbox not later than 12 Noon (AEST) on Monday 26 August 2019.

Nominations cannot be withdrawn after 12 Noon (AEST) on Monday 2 September 2019.

Nomination forms are available from me or the office of the Organisation. Nomination forms are also available on the organisation’s website.

Candidates may submit a statement to be included with ballot material. Only statements which comply with the Rules and are received by the Returning Officer no later than 12 Noon (AEST) 2 September 2019 will be published. Candidate statements are restricted to a maximum of 400 words and sent as a word doc. Passport sized photographs should be sent as a jpeg doc. To assist candidates, a standard “Candidate Statement Form” is available for use at www.aec.gov.au

The ballot, if required, will open on Monday 23 September 2019 and close at 10:00am (AEDT) on Monday 21 October 2019
