Climate Change – National Day of Action

Despite decades of scientific analysis and warnings successive governments have failed to take the decisive action necessary to address global warming and the resultant climate emergency.

This failure to act, along with the refusal by current state and federal climate denial governments to heed the stark advice by experts that we were on the brink of a catastrophe and respond favourably to their pleas, has contributed to a level of devastation that could have been averted.

A National Day of Action on Saturday 22 February has been called by a coalition of climate justice organisations, unions and other community groups to push forward on demands for government action on a scale to match the current climate emergency. The Sydney event is being held at Sydney Town Hall from 2:00 pm. Federation encourages its members to take part in the National Day of Action. Events are currently planned for:
